Announcements

Two shawls have been released as part The Chekhov Collection, with the third and final coming June 15, called The Three Sisters. Each shawl will be available individually for $6 or you can use Ravelry code CHERRY through 11:59 PM EDT June 23 to get all three shawls for just $5 total. Click here to view the collection in Ravelry. Click here to apply the $5 code.

I also released a shawl called the Carrick Bend Shawl. It's written for one, two, or three skeins of worsted weight yarn in a main color plus about 75 yards of a contrast color - so you can make a shawlette, shawl, or shlanket. The main shawl is a fairly simple crescent shape, so it can handle just about any dye job. You finish with a contrast picot bind off, then make a Celtic knot called a Carrick Bend Mat out of I-Cord. Sew a button on the back of the knot, and it becomes a closure you can use to keep the shawl on your shoulders. I used Dragon Hoard Yarn Company Storyteller base and filmed a video tutorial on the Kino Knits YouTube channel to teach you how to tie the knot.

Finally, the ICYMI MKAL shawl clues are all out! I'm going to release a unified copy of the pattern around July 1. Kino Knits newsletter subscribers will get a discount code for that, so sign up if you're interested at kinoknits.com/newsletter.
