(Listed below are the hat circumferences (circ) in the stockinette section of the hat. Choose a size 1-3”/2.5-7.5 cm smaller than your head circ. When between sizes, choose the larger size since the twisted ribbing pulls the hat circ in.)

Gauge: 
17.5 stitches and 27 rounds per 4”/10 cm in stockinette in the round, blocked.

Tools:

  • 8 stitch markers (1 should be unique)

  • Tapestry needle

  • Scissors

Needles: 
US 7 (4.5 mm) needles for knitting a small circumference in the round, or size needed to get gauge.
